Base Realignment and Closure

Federal Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) is the Department of Defense process to restructure its base locations to more efficiently support its forces and missions. The 2005 BRAC process will relocate military commands to Maryland from other states an create nearly 30,000 Department of Defense military and civilian jobs. By law, the restructuring my take place by September 15, 2011.
