Kevin Dillon

Kevin is a life long resident of Anne Arundel County. He was born in January of 1978 and lived with his parents in the Elmhurst community in Severn. At the age of 13, he and his family moved a few miles southeast to Millersville. His parents had a home built on a parcel of property owned by the Dillon family. Kevin began High School at Old Mill Senior High School in the fall of 1992. Like most kids in High School, Kevin was involved in sports. However, the types of sports Kevin was involved in was very much different then most kids. At the age of 10, Kevin took up ice skating. He skated after school with his friends and spent most weekends at the rink sharpening his skills with hopes of playing Ice Hockey. 2 years after he strapped the skates on for the 1st time, he began playing Hockey for the Chesapeake Bay Chiefs as a goaltender. Kevin's best season with the chiefs was in 1996, which was his last season.
Kevin and his team went undefeated for the entire 20 game 1996 season. Kevin also earned several shut-outs (when the opposing team doesn't score a single goal) during the 1996 season. The goaltender in Ice Hockey is a very unique, high stakes, high stress level position. As a goaltender, you're the teams last line of defense. You can either be a "hero or zero" in the eyes of the people in the stands and your fellow teammates. Kevin credits his years as a goaltender with honing his ability to not only handle high pressure situations, but to excel at them.
During his High School years Kevin took up another unique, high stake, high stress level sport, auto racing. In 1995, Kevin began competing at Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, VA in the Nascar Weekly Racing Series Speedway Sportsman class. The 1995 season was a huge struggle for Kevin. He crashed out of many events and finished off the lead lap on many nights. The end of the 1995 season left him hoping 1996 would bring better results. The 1996 season did in fact bring better results. The first half of the season he finished in the top 5 on a regular basis. By mid-season, Kevin won his first stock car race at the age of 17 making him the youngest driver to record a win in his division. In addition to his first win, Kevin went on to win 7 more times in 1996 and nearly won the track championship. Kevin also set the all time fast lap record in the Speedway Sportsman class, a record that he still holds today. In 1997, Kevin moved up to the Grand Stock Class. In 1998, he moved up to the Late Model Stock Class, the tracks premier division.

When Kevin wasn't playing Hockey or driving Stock Cars, he stayed busy planning his future beyond High School. In 1994, the family purchased a computer, design software, and a vinyl cutter used to create vinyl decals and graphics. Kevin cut his teeth decaling buses for the family Motor Coach business and race cars for the race team. Kevin then began to market to other race teams and other businesses. Before long, he had a steady stream of clients.
In 1996, still a senior in High School. Kevin formed Decals By Dillon. Kevin also went to work for Dillon's Bus Service, the family Motor Coach business. He
spent 8 years working in the Commuter Transit Collections Department. In 2004, Kevin took on a new position with the company, Sales & Marketing. On the sales side, Kevin spent his days meeting with Convention Planers, Colleges, and Hotels. Kevin also acquired several large College contracts. On the marketing side of the job, Kevin designed and created marketing material such as banners, billboards, flyers, and trade show displays. Kevin was also part of the video production team for two cable television ads. By 2009, Kevin doubled and in some instances tripled his existing client revenue while also reaching out and establishing new clients. Kevin was the team leader for the 2009 Presidential Inauguration for which Dillon's was the exclusive transportation provider. In the summer of 2009, Kevin decided it was time to pursue another passion of his, Real Estate. At a time when a steady stream of agents were getting out of the business due to slow sales and a declining market, Kevin knew the residents of Maryland were going to be in need of a agent with strong sales and marketing skills as well as strong negotiation skills to get their homes sold. In September of 2009, Kevin acquired his Maryland Real Estate License and affiliated with Keller Williams Flagship in Millersville. Kevin sold 4 homes during his first 6 months in the business.

Kevin got engaged in the summer of 1999 at the age of 21. He married his wife, Donna on October 6, 2001. They purchased their first home shortly before their wedding. On June 3, 2004, Donna gave birth to their son, Kevin, Jr. He is currently in the 1st grade and much like his dad, he has a passion for motorsports. Kevin seems to prefer two wheels over four wheels and enjoys riding his Yamaha PW50. Kevin, Jr. plans to start racing his 50cc at Budds Creek this season.
